Few days ago I watched "Confessions of a Shopaholic". I really loved the movie. What's more, my adoration stems from a moment in the movie which you wouldn't expect to like so much or to be so impressed by. Isla Fisher, who did such a great job in "Definitely, Maybe," once again shows her acting chops.
The film itself is a wonderful comedy and adds to the volume of positive, good, quality films such as "Legally Blonde" (with Reese Witherspoon), "Good Advice" (with Charlie Sheen and Angie Harmon) and "The Devil Wears Prada" (with Anne Hathaway and Meryl Streep).
As for the financial side, in my opinion this movie could have and should have earned much more over the opening weekend. Although $17.8 million isn't all that bad.
Enjoy :)
I've been to the movies 97 times during 2008. This is my new personal
record. Some movies I've seen several times, so total number of movies
I've watched in theatres is less then 97. Anyway, I will be talking
about my personal movie awards now. Some thing like "Best Drama, Best
Animated Picture and, of course, Best Movie":) By the way, movies that
I've seen not in theatres aren't nominated in any category; the list
below contains movies I've watched only on the "big screen".

So, the United States of America has a new President now. A few days have passed since the inauguration of Barack Obama. I watched that bright ceremony on CNN and seeing it reminded me of another inauguration, the inauguration of President Viktor Yushchenko who became President of Ukraine in 2005 after the Orange Revolution. A lot of good and not so good things have happened in Ukraine since. A lot of people have become disappointed since that time, while others haven’t. But I think we definitely had good times then. And I hope that your President is really good and you will not regret your choice like a lot of Americans did after Bush was elected.
